Hi Cathy. When I filled out the survey, I wrote something about wanting to see a scientist character have to use her scientific knowledge to deal with some unexpected situation. But isn’t that a constant plot development in Star Trek, for example? Are my expectations cliched?

If it is what people enjoy reading about, I wouldn’t call it a cliche. I like to read about solving problems too. It’s a whole lot of the fun part of science.
